Got the new sink 1 ¼ inch Trident steel re-enforced exhaust drain hose installed for the galley sink drain, not an easy thing. I think the hose is 55" long. And of course, the chandlery (Marine Exchange) gave us more than we ordered as they usually do. You know, to be nice. Only in this case it is too long and now needs cutting off under the sink.

We knew it was going to be a bitch and it was. Seems these all are these steel re-enforced exhaust type hoses. There was a lot of heat gun and twisting and turning. We put lots of dish liquid soap on the pipe and the inside of the hose. Still tuff but it’s on. Glad I could stand where the engine was!
To make it easier we could have filed off the threads on the end of the pipe it was going over. We were too far involved to start that and besides there was no file on the boat. Or could have grinded them off, well no grinder on the boat either. Oh well. Could have used the Dremel but what the heck it may not of helped anyway.
