The area behind the nav station is in need of some sealing up.
The cabinets under the stairs also need sealing up. Islander left gaps between the lazeretts and the inside of the boat.

We have removed all the live wires that were in the lower cabinet under the stairs. There was a battery selector switch there and the wires were exposed in the food cabinet under the stair. There was a instrument cable and radio antenna cable running through the top step cabinet. That is where we keep our winch handles for storage right now and binoculars. The winch handles would catch on the cables. We still need to remove one cable the instrument cable.
So we have cut a piece of plywood to fit the are in the nav station next to the cabinet. This will also give us a needed place to mount electric stuff like the bilge alarm etc. It will also seal off that section of the boat from the nav station. We may add some foam sealer around any voids after the marine plywood is attached.
We want to put heat and AC in the boat and also this will help keep out critters like mosquitos and flys later down south.
We are alos working on cleaning up all the spaghetti wiring
