Engine room lighting - 20” LED light strip under a cross beam. - 2011

This is from the salon are standing up outside the engine room.
01\08\2011 Docked in Marina Cortez in San Diego Harbor Island.

We installed (just teat leads for wiring for now) or new engine room 20” LED light strip under a cross beam. It shines down into the lower bilge and also lights up the PSS shaft seal and the shaft housing.
It lights the bilge pump and stern are of the deep bilge. In short it is what we were looking for.
It lights up all the dark hard to see areas when the engine and all other accessories are in place.
We liked it so much we just ordered three more for the engine room. So one in front of the engine and one on each side and the one you see here covering the back of the engine and transmission and shaft.
At 1/5 amp draw we could yet add one more!
This is from the salon. You can see the sink through hole there.

Looking at where the battery shelf will be. You would not see this area from here when the starting battery is installed. But if you need to work on the are then we would remove the starting battery and shelf and then have access and light!
