May 2010 - Currently At Marina Cortez Harbor Island, San Diego, CA
These fuses are for catastrophic fire protection and will probably never need replacing. Just being safe.
The fuse block I bought is not the correct one fuse for the T fuse block.
I had to purchase a Blue Seas (5005) fuse block, well actually two.
I then purchased another 80-amp AML fuse (5124).
Sized to the wire. Fuse the wire to 80 percent of the max load.
So, one will hook up to the T fuse block\buss positive end.
The other will hook to the 150-amp positive buss.
I purchased theses at Marine Exchange.
I also just purchased some cable for the two busses we are installing behind the nav station.
A black 4 awg 13’3” with 3/8 for 600-amp buss connection and a ¼ for the 130-amp buss connection.
A 10’ red 4 awg 3/8 for the neg 600-amp buss connection and a 5/16 to the fuse holder.
Also, a 4” 4 awg with 5/16 from fuse to a ¼ on the buss.
These busses will hold a total of 35 amps worth of connections if they were all running at the same time.
Mostly we will be using them for led lights and other small load stuff.
