By the way, the (shipwright) who made the teak piece we used to cover a whole in our bulk head was at the boat. It was normal straight grain teak that I asked for. I thought I was so clever remembering to ask for the grain to go the same as the bulkhead. After putting it on and starting the varnishing I noticed the bulkhead was a different grain.
The grain on the trim is straight down but not the bulkhead, it is like paisley or something, he had a word for it but I immediately forgot it.
The shipwright said had he known he could have used that grain instead of the straight grain. Dam I wish I had known. I almost tore it off as anile as I am but it will never be noticed as he also said. Course now everyone here knows about it!
