Refer AC/DC Power Converter CFGI outlet - 2011

This is a Leviton 15a-125v CFGI outlet 7599-kw
We did some work on the 110 volt wiring (10 - 3) for the refer and got a CFI plug ready for installation on the boat.
March 2011 - Currently At Marina Cortez Harbor IslandSan Diego, CA
This is a single gang box with five outlets each 3/4 inch with ground wire attachment.
Our original thought was to install it by the refer up in the lazarette but after thinking about it, that may not be such a great idea.
Here the sodder less terminal ends for #10 wire were closed hole and we needed to have them slip over the outlet screws because they do not unscrew all the way. We just cut them to be open.
This is a TayMac cover -clear 2 3/4 cover depth - waterproof receptacle cover.
This is from Arlington Industries and is a Strain relief cprd connector - non-metallic
Liquid tight cord range .385- .750 (fits the 10 - 3 marine 110v wire good) 3/4 inch

What happens if the CFI trips? With the propane locker there in front of the refer compressor and outlet we could not reach it to re-set it. So now it will need more thought.
There are a couple other options.

Install it on the other side of the propane box where we can see and reach it.
Wire the added unite directly to the 30 amp breaker.

Mount the unite someplace else
Extend the wire from the unite to the outlet and put the outlet behind the nav station.
And yet more options.

At any rate we have one functioning 110 volt outlet that can be installed for the purpose. We will need to dis assemble it to screw it into the plywood where ever we decide to put it but the engendering is done and proven workable. That is often the hardest part. It took sever shopping trips to HD and browsing to figure out the components and some returned stuff that did not work.

This stuff is used for outside lighting.
The gray housing are some kind of pot meta painted to with stand the outside environment. We do get a lot of condensation in the lazzeretti at times.
The parts that hold the wires in the boxes are to prevent stress on the connections and they also seal the opening when screwed in around the wire from moisture.
The CFI outlet is 15 amps and has a test button and reset button and LED indicator.

This is for the:
Has inputs for 12/24v DC plus 110/230v AC. Will use 110/230v AC power when available, then switch to DC source when AC power disconnected. Provides DC power for compressor plus full-time 12v feed for light, thermostat, fan etc. Remote mount with 6' power cord and 110v plug, plus 4' DC power cable with slip-on connectors. Max power 150 watts. 5.5"w x 5.5"d x 2.5"h
Note:
We ended up wiring the switchover power directly to the boat and not using the 110 plug in the CFI outlet.
