We put a coat of varnish on the inside of the door so when you open it does not look bad. It had drips and drools from the front side and was bare teak looking rough.
The front side has ten coats and the last one has some dust in it. We think bringing it inside the house and using a fresh can of varnish for the last coat will keep it from getting contaminated.
