30 amp breaker wiring diagram etc - 2011

This is a wiring diagram of our incoming shore power to 30 amp breaker to other items below.
The 30 amp breaker protects wiring.
March 2011 - Currently At Marina Cortez Harbor Island, San Diego, CA
The ground that is coming from the shore power plug goes to the 30 amp breaker. It connects to a small screw at the middle top of the breaker (black) and there is not any more room but for one more wire.
The green ground 110 volt comes from the 30 amp breaker and is connected to the same screw as the incoming green wire that is inside the white sheath. It then goes to the buss.
The charger inverter ground goes to the buss.
The CFI outlet goes to the buss.
So after all the mock up we have decided to just use the 30 amp breaker for now and forgo the CFI outlet and ground bus.

This is from Blue Sea Systems.
"It looks like you have a good handle on things.
The 30 A AC main breaker protects everything downstream, meaning your Inverter/Charger and your GFCI outlet, from over current.
The safety ground connections are meant to provide a fault path for electric current to protect people from shock just as they do in your home.
Here is some basic feedback:
1.       Your Inverter/Charger  represents a "source" of AC, so  technically, the ground wire is "from" your Inverter/Charger "to" your safety ground bus. Your layout connections are appropriate.
2.       Our panel provides a short 6-32 screw for a ground attachment location. I am sure this is what you were referring to, but had to point out that there is no ground connection directly to the 30A breaker itself.
3.       May we suggest that you arrange wire with "drip loops" when running to and from your 30A main breaker box? It's a good idea for any termination actually."

We will wire the refer converter modular to the nav station with a switch on 100 volts and turn it off when using the inverter.
At a later time we will be adding another 30 amp shore power line and that time we revisit the issue.

  1. I am trying to figure this out but am having little success. I want to install a AC unit on top0 of my van that I can use shore p0ower to and hook up to my Honda generator.
