The bigger gang boxes look easier to wire so we are going with them. I tried like I said to cut the metal face plate but no go so we tried a plywood one but it looks like it will be too much work. We will stop at HD and get a wooden face plate for switches and cut it up. Seems easier and we like easy. There is just too much to do to make a project out of this face plate item.
