Just ordered up the SeaMaster White\Red 20” LED light. Also ordered the three way switch and black boot cover.
This SeaMAster 20" LED light strip we bought from yachtlights.com as jmsonline.net/ where we bought the engine room white 20" LED SeaMaster lights did not stock the duel color ones.
In the engine room we wanted light and lots of it. If there was a problem with the engine or something in the bilge etc loosing the knight vision is not a concern. We want to be able to see good all the way to the bottom of the bilge and did not want to loose half the LEDs to a deferent color. This new light is for the galley food are and we may want to get a snack for a movie or while at the helm at knight so we wanted a knight vision red light as an option.
Now we do not need to black boot cover because the switch is going in the food locker where it is dry but I figured it may make it easier on your hand switching it on to whatever ever color you chose.
This light is going in the top step food storage locker in the companion way. This locker is shorter and not as tall as the one below it. There we used a light that comes ready made with a three way switch.
This light is low profile and will go in the back top of the locker. It will go along the back of the locker towards the top and shine forward. The locker amazingly enough is more than 20” long. It is a step down into the boat.
