Don's s\v Grasshopper in Shelter Island Boat Yard - 2011

 Gotta love these nice sea kindly keels on the Islander freeport 36'.

We stopped by the Shelter Island Boat Yard with Judy and Buddy the other day when we were picking up the old windlass we will use as a back up for our stern windlass. Don’s boat Grasshopper was there getting a new bottom job and cutlass bearing and hull polishing.

 It is hard to see but s\v Grasshoppers rear door is leaning to one side like ours is. Must be a Freeport thing.

And these skeg hung rudders! Bob Perry who designed the Islander Freeport 36' said they were designed to withstand a grounding!
