Tuesday 2\22\11 we got the third coat of varnish on one side of the Stateroom door. It is starting to look decent now with the third coat. March 2011 - At Marina Cortez Harbor Island, San Diego, CA
There is still no depth to the look yet but is getting nicer. The first three coats are the hardest I think. Maybe around coat six or so it will need another sanding for smoothness but from now on it is just scuff up with some scratch pad and clean and varnish. It does use a lot of varnish compared to the small doors and other areas. They can be more work though.
