Finished wiring up the engine room lights to the nav station panel. Now with a flick of a switch the engine room lights up! No heat added, no hot to the touch lights and no breaking bulbs. Long life LEDs!

Done, will never need to do anything to them again, just use them. You got to love that. It is a boat so we will see but that is the way these should work out. We had run the wires up to the panel before. We had to add a 5 amp blade in line fuse and then run the hot wire to the switch. We ran the ground to the ground buss we installed. There was a spot where Islander had a few inline fuses mounted. I removed the old glass inline fuse and put the new blade fuse in it’s place with the new wires etc.
Also did some cleanup of the wiring behind the panel. OK I know it does not look like it but it is better. Just need more time. Some of the wires that are hanging just go to the VHF radio. We had moved it and it is a temporary radio and so on. I'll wire tie them up out of the way soon. It will be a year before we upgrade the radio.
This is of course daytime but even then it is nice to have the lighting.
