We got the first piece of fiber glass tape resigned in and it works great. We mixed up an ounce of resin using about eight drops of hardener. Then using a small through away paint brush, brushed the finer glass tape outside ways.
The gallon of resin was not easy to pour out of and I spilled some. This will need to be addressed. Then when it was mostly done removed the staples one by one and brushed on resin where the staple was, I removed. Some of the staples pulled on the fiberglass lifting it. It did not seem to matter if I used a screwdriver or pliers or both to remove the staple. The ones that were not in that deep seemed to do the best. Next time I will staple by moving the gun out a little more away from the wood.
The next day I went and sanded the fiberglass edges with 80 grits, and it smoothed out nicely.
Some spots look like there is air or no resin in the fiberglass tape, but I think it is just the tape as it does not to be a bubble.
Now for another try. We would like to get this project done before we lose the garage or if we do not get another. We may have to go back to a storage shed.
