We had greased it up
and it was ready to go.
The old car cables we
removed and replaced them with new marine grade cables. The old ones were
showing signs of corrosion.
We routed the new wires and added a new on\off switch
and a 40 AMP fuse.
The fuse is on order
as there were not any 40 AMP Blue Seas terminal fuses around town.
We also re-wired and put new connections on most of the
wires.
The power wire from the breaker was #8 and had to be made longer. That meant a run to Marine Exchange for some #8 wire and connectors and a joiner.
Again this crimping tool came in handy.

The first 10' or 20' is chain then it is all rope rode.
