Debbie replaced the cockpit scupper hose

Old scupper hose.

Debbie went ahead and replaced the cockpit scupper hose on the port side. We were going to cross them but decided the gain (if any) was not worth the pain.

Debbie back in the lazerett

Debbie had measured for the hose and stopped at Marine Exchange and picked up the hose and SS hose clamps.

After Debbie removed the old hose she heated up the scupper end and got it on but not without a fight.

First Debbie marked the end of the hose as far as the part that the hose slips on the scupper and heated with our handy dandy heat gun. Then wrestled  the hose on.
The hull side was heated up then after the double SS hose clamps were put on the upper end.

The hose curves dramatically there at the scupper and the last hose, a sanitary hose kinked at that spot. That old hose was why we were replacing it with a new steel re-enforced hose. The PO had it installed.

The cables you see here are the wind generator cables, still in the process of being routed.
You can also see our stern anchor rode and the stern windlass cables yet to be routed.

Looks nice and that’s what counts right!
Nice hose that will not collapse or get crushed with lazerett stuff and does not kink easily.
