Davit cross stabilizer bar modafactions, complicated - 2012

The Kato Marine Island Davits we bought from Crag’s  in San Diego, CA and they came with a stabilizer bar but it is too short. It is a little more complicated than to just make it longer.

We had purchased new SS bolts, washers and nuts for the brackets. We wanted to polish up the brackets before installing them but did not end up having the time.

The two cross 1” SS prices are not the same length on the original one and with the davits pointing out on each side as much as we can afford to given the space we have they will not be the same length for us either. They davits should be as close to the lifting points of the dingy as possible, our stern are is just not wide enough but we can swivel the davits out some to make the right points.
We are looking to get a 10.2 dingy.
Note:
We did purchase an Achilles LSI-310E 10'2" dinghy.
We put on the brackets that hold the cross stabilizer and measured the distance from center bolt to center bolt.
Debbie marked up the stabilizer for modification.
Debbie will bring the stabilizer by Benchmark Custom Welding to see about the work to be done.
This picture is from Kato Marine Island Davits web page, our stabilizer bar will look something like this if we have the modifications done.
