The mounting bracket comes with three holes in it. We added two more.
We got our DSC antenna for our IICOM 802 SSB. It is for digital emergency calling, getting the answer that someone heard you and is coming.

We got our DSC antenna for our IICOM 802 SSB. It is for digital emergency calling, getting the answer that someone heard you and is coming.
The mounting bracket was for a whit type mounting add on for
a 1” rail. I did not know that. I took the antenna to Downwind Marine and they
sold be brackets like we used for our solar panels.
I then drilled two hole for them to mount the antenna to the
1” rail. They do make brackets that will mount that way but it was simple
enough to drill a couple holes and use the two brackets instead of the one that
comes in a kit I have seen.
Any way either way would work fine, this way was less
expensive and twice as strong. Besides we did not know about the other mounts
till it was too late.
We are currently looking for some black coax cable.
