Took an Achilles LSI 104 for a test ride - 2011

2011 - Marina Cortez San Diego, CA
Me so gingerly stepping into the dingy

Our dock mate Hinze let us use his borrowed ding for a quick ride. It is an:
Achilles LSI 104
The new mode that is out for the LSI 104 is the  Achilles LSI-310 Grey 2011
10’ 4” length
LSI-104 10'4" 5'2" 17" 77 4 (1230lbs) 10/88 2+keel+floor
Debbie sat on the center of the wood seat
Ready to rumble
We went across the chanel so the wake would not disturb anyone and opened it up. Hinze has an 8 hp Yamaha outboard two stroke on this dingy. The LSI 104 was desiged for a two stroke. We were flying and went up on a plane really fast. We certainly liked this dingy. We turned around and did it again! On the first flight I lost my hat so we had to do a hat overboard drill :)

The  Achilles LSI-310 White 2011 – this was re-designed for 4 stroke motors
Length 10' 2"
Beam 5' 2"
Weight 79 Lbs
Capacity: 4 Persons or 1320 Lbs
Maximum Motor 10 hp (Maximum motor weight 110 Lbs)
Manufacturer recommends 8 hp (15" shaft)
Tube Diameter 17" (Separate Air Chambers 3 + Floor + Air Keel)
Stowed Dimensions 3' 9" x 1' 11" x 1'

We do not have much experience with dinks so this was fun and good base for our dingy hunt.
Hinze owns the same kind an LSI 6185
9.6 length
So we may be able to take that one for a spin at a later date.
We do like the 10’2” though but are wondering how it would ride on the stern of our boat. Would it be too long and or look too large etc.
As soon as we install our stern rail support brackets we may try hoisting the 10' 2" Achilles LSI 104.
