The mattress topper came. Oh wait we did not mention we were getting a mattress topper? Yes we got one and it was more or less a present. A fellow FOGger wrote in the forum that he was buying a new mattress and was going to send the almost new mattress topper he had custom made for the Freeport Pullman berth to the dumpster if no one wanted it. So for the price of shipping we now have one. This may be particularly good for us as we have already posted how our matters is the same as if we store bought it except there is no cloth surrounding it or topper. I actually did not even know they made such a thing :)
We unpacked it and spread it out on the un-maid bed. It is a bit small. We are thinking that his mattress is not as thick. Ours is 6.5 inches thick so it spreads out more along the hull. In other words it has more volume or is bigger as the hull goes out more the higher you go. This is only a guess because the bed was un-maid and we really need to try it with just the foam. It does seem like it would add another degree of comfort to the mattress.
