Sailing - to not see land

Saturday we went sailing. Our goal was to sail out beyond the sight of land.

Thew sun was out and the sea state was kind

The wind god (aeolus) had a different idea.

A nice sail into the deep blue sea

The wind was coming out of the west the whole time. It was supposed to come out of the south.

We sailed and sailed and threw in a couple of tacks but ran out of time. The sun went away and the seas built to four feet with a little cross swell.

We had a few guests onboard and they were getting queasy and one actually got sick. Eventually we headed back and inside buoy one we started the engine and did a sea lion tour inside the harbor and went back to the slip. It was a nice sail as the winds were nice and consistent till the end when they dies as we tried to sail into the San Diego channel. The sun went away as we got out to sea but as we returned to the harbor it was out again. One guest is from Ramona and sad it was about 85 deg when he left and was getting hotter. When we were out to sea it was about 65 deg. Goes to show ya!
