New Stewart Warner fuel gauge

While at ME we picked up a new fuel gauge. Now that may seem like why now but let me tell you it is a pain not knowing how much fuel you have. We have dock mates that use a dip stick and that is fine but on our boat we would need to add a access plate in both the cockpit sole and the fuel tank. We have a fuel gauge but when we sold the Perkins diesel motor the old control panel went with it.

No panel

There was a fuel gauge in the control panel for the fuel tank. The sender is still in the tank.

Phil removed the control panel and gave it to the new owner of our engine. He did not remove the fuel gauge. So we did not realize the new

Beta engine panel does not have a fuel gauge.

I guess why should it as it is only for the engine. Still you would think this would not have slipped through the cracks.

So now where to mount it?
Will it work with our old sending unite?
If so will it be accurate?

Guess with our vacation coming up and the 4th holiday we are not going out for a while so this project will go to the back burner, maybe.
