Loews Crown Isle Marina at the Loews Coronado Resort for R&R weekend - 2011

We went to Loews Coronado Resort on Friday by motoring all the way. We wanted to get some hours on the motor and also wanted to be in the spa, not on the bay.
June 2011 - At the Loews Crown Isle Marina in the Loews Coronado Resort San Diego, CA
It was strictly a R&R weekend. So we ate out the whole weekend and spent our time in the pool and Jacuzzi along with the spa. The spa has steam rooms and sauna and of course free robes and slippers and all the bathing goodies. So we can go empty handed and come back to the boat all nice and relaxed and clean. There is even a quiet space.
I will not get into the specifics as it has been written up on the bog before.
We did play some backgammon upstairs in the lobby with the great view of the south bay. Then we had our usual banana split. It gets made different every time we are there as it is not on the menu. It is always good though!
This time we got a cable from the dock master to hook up the free cable TV service but we did not get it to work. I think the dock box outlet was too corroded. It did not matter as we did not watch any TV. We did try a movie Friday night but I fell asleep. Then we finished it off on Saturday night. We had another movie to watch "Harry Potter" but it was 2 1/2 hours long so neither one of us could stay awake that long on either night to watch it.
We took the kayak with us and thought we would test it out in the Coronado Cays but the weather was not cooperating and we did not want to ruin a beautiful relaxing weekend with falling in the south bay water. We were going to board the kayak from the stern swim steps.  Another time when the days warm up.

While there we met up with Judy and Buddy s\v Windwalker on Saturday night and went to pizza in Coronado. It was quite nice and good socializing.
On Sunday we met up again and visited each others boats and they helped us cast off.
We sail back from Leaving Loews Coronado Resort to Harbor Island San Diego.
Debbie a the helm.
