Air Breeze wind generator cable run - 2012

We finally got around to pulling the Air Breeze wind generator (WG) cables through to the battery compartment.
Snaking around through the nav station to the settee.

April 2012 - Currently at Marina Kona Kai  Shelter Island San Diego, CA
Back under the stern port lazarett
We also decided upon a location for the switch.
There was an old light in this spot in the nav panel and it is now the WG switch location. It still may move but we are hoping we can fit the #6 cables on it.

Our thinking here is:
(The WG shuts off by shorting it out, connecting the red + to the black -)
Back of WG switch.
The positive cable goes the switch, then to a fuse, then to the positive bus by the batteries.
If the WG does not function well here then the cable will need moving to a battery stud. It may conflict with the solar controller on the bus.
Any way at the fuse is where we could connect a AMP meter later.
Note:
We did connect an amp meter.
We had to cut a hole for the cables to run into the switch from behind the nave station.
We also ran the stern anchor windless cable through it.

We will run the black neg cable to the batteries from the WG. Then run a black neg cable from the batteries (neg bus) to the switch for shutting it off. No spicing then needed.

That means we need to buy some #6 cable to run from the switch to the battery bus, just do not know how much yet, probably about 10’.

Then we need to purchase a fuse holder and 50 AMP slow blow fuse.
So that’s the plan😀
