Shower sump plumbing completed

OK this may just be a guy thing or a me thing but does this piece of plumbing just look cool!

Our next plumbing adventure for the shower sump cam off without a hitch. The hose from the shower sump sensor (SSS) came off easy from the sensor.

Replacing clear hose.

Then the hose came off the pump not so easy but with a box knife we cut it off the plastic hose barb and the cut the other end from the SSS off the remaining plastic hose barb.  The new black hose has a nice flow to it and is easy to work with. Another project completed!

My left shoulder is sour from trying to be part of the bilge.

Then with the hos out it was just a matter of fitting the joiner to the new hose and getting the length of the new hose right with some inches left for spare hose in case of some who knows what problem.
Now the cool thing about this setup is we put the joiner together by hand. No cranking down on it with pipe wrenches. This means it should be no problem taking it apart in the future if we need to clean out a clog.

 Note:

I brought the joiner (which is really called something else but I do not know what) to ME and we compared it with others. It was just like the others so it seems fine, not defective.

OK a mess but the rest will get cleaned up soon.

New black hose connecting to SSS.

The black hose connecting to the pump.

What’s left it to epoxy some wire tie holders to the hull so the joiners do not bag around and secure the hoses and wiring. We will do that as we move on and strt the auto pilot flux gate compass install and was down pump and AC plumbing in the area.
