Auto pilot GHC 10 installed

The autopilot GHC 10 we decide was ready to install. This is the visual interface with the auto pilot.

The spot we decide on is on the coming on the starboard side.
This spot had to be away from the jib sheets and yet leave room to lean on the coming when we want to look ahead.

The GHC 10 supplies a template and we used it.

Debbie climbed onto her favorite spot the lazerett to check for any un-known objects where we wanted to drill the holes for the GHC 10.

Another hole gets drilled into the boat, 3 1/2".

Drilled out the 1/8 screw holes and done!

There was not anything that was hard.

We chose to folloow the top edge of the coming with the top edge of the GHC 10.

The only part that was a bit challenging. The coming is curved and so the top is out from the coming a bit.

This we will use some black 3M 4000 UV to cover and water proof it. The GHC 10 housing is water proof any way. This will trim out fine and look great. It is easy to see from all over the cockpit but I think most of the route making and interaction will be done on the chart plotter. This will probably be used for a quick look see while resting in the cockpit while auto is doing the work. Still we do not know as we have never had such fine instrumentation!
