Removed original instruments! - 2012

Yay! We finally took of our old original non-working electronics. They have been place holders sitting there for a few years as we just never knew if we could fix them or just replace them. Fixing them was not really what we wanted and removing them would leave gaping holes in the binical. They looked OK so we left them.March 2012- Chip & Debbie 💑 Currently in Marina Cortez ⛵ in San Diego, SoCal

Old wind gauge, old wind vane was frozen.
Now with the new Garmin chart plotter it is time to build a mount so it will fit our binical.
Cutting more wires!
Debbie cut the wires leading up to the instruments, each one in turn. She left enough wire so if some one was to re-use these they could see how they were wired up or even just splice into them. Also she left enough in-case we want to use the old wire to snake the new ones up through the binicla SS guard we could do that. We probably will need to remove them though and make the holes bigger, but maybe not.
Un-bolting using a socket and ratchet with adapter.
With these tools she did not need my manly strength.
Debbie took out the three bolts holding them in place on the binical from the bottom.
Debbie also had to use a screw driver to un-fasten the wiring.
The boat may not be moving but we are moving right along!
For sale 😉 SOLD
We will try to eBay these hoping they do not go to the land fill.
