Called Beta Marine for heater hose size and spare parts list - 2012

 Called Beta Marine  (Toll free 877 227 2473) and they again a really nice and told me we needed 5/8 hose from the engine to the 6 gal Seaward water heater.
March 2012 - Currently at Marina Kona Kai  Shelter Island San Diego, CA  

 This is good because that is the size hose the water heater wants. Also we can use automotive hose and not need to buy it from a marine store so it will be less expensive.

 We also talked about spare parts for the 38 hp Beta Marine diesel engine we have.

 Not too many are needed actually.

Example

1. Zinc anode 
2. Fuel filter
3. Oil filter
4. Couple O rings for the heat ex changer
5. Air filter
6. Belt(s)

Guess I should have looked at this as it says right here 5/8 hose 😊
