Propane detector now working, some - 2011

We re-located the Trident Propane Detector.
It was facing you when sitting at the nav-station. That was always going to be temporary spot. We will be installing a new VHF radio and an ICOM802 SSB radio here on a new piece of teak.

August 2011 - At Marina Cortez Harbor Island, San Diego, CA
We removed the Volt Meter at the nave station and the light and switch that goes with it. It was used to test the batteries which we never used. The Link2000 tells us more and also controls the Xantrex 2000 Charger\Inverter, when we get that hooked up. So we put the Trident Propane Detector in the spot of the volt meter. We like the location, not obtrusive and wasted space. Now though the green LED is kind of bright and can be seen from the head. So it may get re-located again at some point. There will be two more green LEDs shinning later.
This sensor has a red LED to let you know it is on
(We had to buy and extended chord for this sensor)
We have it working now with one sensor which is under the stove. We plan on two more sensors. One by the propane locker when it is built and one in the engine compartment.
The solenoid valve is just sitting behind the nav station and not hooked up yet as we did not have the fittings to hook it to the propane bottle on the stern. It automatically shuts of the propane at the tank if it senses a leak. You can also shut it off manually.
So at present the Trident Propane Detector three zone propane detector will sound and alarm and we can shut off the gas. It has an LED on the face of the Trident Propane Detector that tells you that one zone is operating. It also allows you to run a test on that zone.
