Original bilge pump - assembly - 2011

One of the small screws was stripped. It is on the lower right corner.
So, we got the new fasteners and started to put the pump back together.

That could have been why the pump did leak when it was running. Not a big deal as it will be only used as a backup emergency pump and a little leaking is ok as long as most of the water goes overboard.
But we will try to fix it. First we will try JB Welding in the screw and clamping it till dry. If that does not work then we can drill it out and on through and put in a nut and bolt as it is in a location which supports that approach. We will most likely just JB Weld it and if it does leak then which is very unlikely then we will just let it leak a little. It will still work just fine.
About ready to bolt in the motor and belt housing. The new bolts for that are not quite right so we will use the old ones as they seem fine and i only got three new ones.
So now to clean up the electric motor and paint it. We have tested it to be OK.
