Downsizing - moving from our apartment to s\v Elegant'sea! - 2011

May 2011 - Marina Cortez San Diego, CA
Off e go!

Debbie's Mustang convertible and my Jeep Wrangler conv packed with boat going stuff

We moved from out Apartment (450 sq ft) to the boat. You would think after giving most of our furniture to our daughter and selling some and giving boxes and boxes of “stuff” to Goodwill we would just slide right in the boat. Not so, we were rethinking clothes and other items and more boxes went to Goodwill and trash. Now that is from a 450 sq ft apartment which is not very large. We had downsized once before anticipating this before we went to that apartment.

All the garage stuff which is a lot of boat project stuff went to a storage locker.
Sunday we tried to relax but still had some unpacking to do as work is Monday. We did get some pool time in and a walk on the bay and I played guitar. It is a start.
When getting up for work this morning Debbie saw the sun rise coming up over the sail boats. The drive along the bay was beautiful.  There is still lots to assimilate into the boat and there is a lot of adjusting to do on the boat.

Here's three important tips that can get you started towards living on a boat and enjoying beautiful sunsets and cool drinks from your own floating home.

1. Lose the Stuff
2. Lose the Overhead
3. Lose the Attitude
