Stateroom cane door varnished - done! - 2015

Middle of October 2015 - At private slip in Nuevo Vallarta in Banderas Bay, Mexico
This door came out just OK. It will get a going-over some time to come.

We put the varnish outside to defrost from the freezer. Later that day I filtered it and then applied it. It was too hot. It did not spread well. So there are some spots I am not pleased with. It does look good at first glance and is a heck-of -a -lot better than the plain teak that keeps getting dirty with hand oil etc. So on it will go and next time only the outside flat area needs a doing over so no taping. Taping and removing the tape on this door it time consuming.
Before varnishing. Still looks good but this is clean. Being plain teak it gets dirty easy. Oiled the same, oil attracts dirt.
All cleaned withTSP and ready for varnish.
Removing tape.
Couple little spots to go over yet.
