While doing some plumbing with the heat gun I placed the heat gun
a bit too close to this shop vac hose, oops.
We went to Zaragoza Chandlery and picked up some inexpensive
bilge hose that actually works better for us.

It reaches down into the bottom of our deep bilge and we do not have to mess moving the vacuum to different spots to reach areas. The 2 1\2 gal shop vac from Home Depot still sucks up everything real good with the extended hose. In fact, Debbie just used it to suck up a SS lock nut I dropped into the bottom of the bilge.
