Water pump mounting plate installed

We put in place the fresh water pump mounting plate we made from marine ½ plywood.
We also purchase longer screws ans some SS washers for mounting the pump and plywood.

It did the trick so now the pump vibration damping rubber feet will not sink into the engine room sound insulation making the pump un-stable. The side effect was it moved the hose to the water tanks out a bit and we discovered a small drip where we hooked the pump to the T from the water tank pipes.

A small drip from here

These we would really like to re-plumb.

The 5/8 hose fits on these 1/2 fitting nicley

We went out and bought some new heavy hose and fittings and it is on the future list of things to do. In the meantime tonight I will try tightening the fitting so it stops the leak. You know how that goes; it could be we do the project now if it breaks. At any rate it will get done at one point.

This is 5/8 hose as all the small Trident Oder shield and fresh water hose on the boat is 5/8 for the smaller stuff. We do have some 3/4 for the shower sump and 1 1/2 for the pup out and maceration hose etc.

We will attach these fittings to the bronze pipe that the original fittings are attached too. Then the T will go in. This will not be so brittle as the original setup as this pump is ment to vibrate some, keeps it quiet.
