You can see the chain plate bolt at far right.
Spent a couple hours fixing the leak and came away with another leak. Guess that’s why I do not like plumbing so much.
June 20011- Chip & Debbie 💑 Currently in Marina Cortez ⛵ in San Diego, SoCal After this weekend we
will be removing the padding on the headboard and shorting it to the chain
plate that is at the headboard. It will still cover the chain plate but by
shorting the padding it will allow the cabinet door to open all the way. Now it
only opens part way and hits the padding.
It was a good thought at the time they built the
boat but over time we guess the padding expanded and make the cabinet door not
so functional. It is not needed that far over any way.
While the padding is off we will cut the hole for the stateroom Mermaid 5200 BTU AC\Heat unit thermostat.
We are not sure of
the value of the padding. We do not use it at this time but it is original
equipment, and it looks good. It could be while at anchor we or I could sit up
in bead and read using the padding for the back. It will require a couple of
pillows below it for further back support. I have tried it and it is quite
comfortable. You can then also see out the port holes and of course we have the
hatch over the bead also.
I think with the loved doors for the bed closed the
area would be nice for some private time.
Debbie reads with her
Kindle Fire laying in bead and does not use the padding at this time.
It stays for now as
it does not get in the way and once it is gone well, hard to replace it.
