We first looked at
the 10/2 wire I nicked cutting the hole but it was not even cut through the
outer shielding so we just put a piece of electrical tape on it and stuffed it
back in.
Then we snaked the thermostat RJ-45 cable to the stateroom
aft hanging locker. That decide if the cable would be long enough and it was.
That saved us a special order of one.
At first we tried staking down the cable but it pushed back at the thermostat and would not allow it to sit flat. We tried different methods but ended up removing the wire ties completely.
Now we spray foamed (Debbie got the spay foam from Home
Depot) in the doard hose so it would not move and mess with the back of the thermostat.
It was time to simply remove the paper from the double sided tape and
placed the thermostat in the hole.
All done!
