We removed the padding over the head of the bed so we can modify it.
The cabinet door on the port side does not open very wide
because it hits the padding.
We will cut the padding shorter.
At the same time we can cut the hole for the stateroom
AC\Heat thermostat.
We were going to make the padding a little less wide but we
do not have the time so we will do any of those modifications in Mexico when we
are retired and have plenty of time.
The space does not look bad now over the bed and with a added piece of trim we could just do without it. How ever I like it and may very well use it for reading in retirement. Also I think it makes the bed more cozy.
