Florescent lights to LED upgrade in salon - 2012

The florescent bulbs in the light.
Armed with our JC-42-FL-T FLUORESCENT TUBE UPGRADE TWIN-PACK we are going to try the two in one light fixture just like two florescent bulbs.

June Marina Kona Kai in  San Diego, CA

PGRADE TWIN-PACK has some religious writing on it so I am thinking we will see the light real good.

We removed the florescent bulbs and put in the light strips. The wiring on these lights are black for + and white for – so we had to mindful of that.

We are doing this as a test to see how we like the light color and brightness in the salon versus the florescent. The florescent will be replaced with LED’s just not sure on what product to use or how many.

The first test is with two LED strips in the one light.
Wired and ready to go!
It feels like a "Practical Sailor" test :)
The current florescent lights look worm but also dingy and do not give off much light.
Comparing the LED versus the florescent.
The LED are brighter and whiter. Not as cozy but for reading I think better. If we want cozy which at times we do we are installing accent lights in the dark corners of the salon. These will give us good mood lighting. The overhead lights are for game playing like cards etc and reading.

These two LEDs may be too much. They could be fine as is but lets see how just one LED in the center of the light under the fake wood looks. This would save us money and may do us well also.
Here we removed the ballast and the ballast cover. We wired up this LED strip and have it ready to test.
Ready to rumble or just LED 😀
