Ya! We got our solar controller hooked up last night. It was a bit of stop and go for a while. We had it working and then dis-connected it from the batteries and placed it behind the nav station in its new home and it stopped working. Debbie and I were scratching our heads and we re-checked all the wires etc. It did read out the watts but did not charge. Tried a bunch of re-boots but it did not change. After Debbie read the trouble shooting tips in the manual we figured it out. The sun was going down and so the panel did not have enough juice to charge the batteries! Forgot it needed the dam sun to work.
So we are on solar now for the house batteries. We disconnected the original battery charger and left it in place till we have some sea testing done. The engine still charges the house batteries also.
