Shower sump from Chula Vista Marine Swap Meet test - 2010

July 2010 - At Marina Cortez Harbor Island, San Diego, CA
This is the old shower sump out hose and wiring.

The shower sump that was the original one was actually still working. At least the flapper turned on the pump. It was however 30 years old and open to the air so we removed it. I thought it was going to be real hard as it was fiber glassed in. It was however real easy. I just stuck a screw driver under it in between the fiberglass and the rubber shower sump and pried it out. Wrecked some fiberglass but it is not needed and not a structural boat thing.
There are a couple wires that do not belong there that will be moved.
Extension cord
Ground wire to Head wiring buss.
There is just acouple wires to hooking it up electrically.
Then a couple hoses, sounds easy hugh? Lets hope so! I like easy for a change.
Old shower sump removed.
Down in the bilge.
The breaker on the nav station works and the wiring is in fine shape.
The sump is connected with some test leads to the wires going to the old sump.
The new one has a top that seals it.
Note:
Ok this is a West Marine that we purchased at the Chula Vista Marine Swap Meet and ended up giving away.

We  had already replaced the out hose to the through hole which for our boat is under the bed. We did that when we replaced the holding tank.
