We are trying to find what is making the screeching noise. It sounds like metal on metal. We have a Mark III and I think it is a Unit I.
1. We have removed the housing that holds the line and oiled any bearings we could find (two races of them) but it did not help. We used “One Drop”.
2. We tightened the back stay and loosened it, did not help.
3. We did the same with the jib halyard but it did not help.
So we have contacted Harkan and am awaiting info.
