The teak blocks of wood for the cleats are almost finished being varnished. Soon we will be buying new SS cleats. Now we could have painted the old ones and made life a little simpler as the holes would line up. The paint would rub off and then look not so good. We could have them powder coated but the have a $50.00 min charge and they would not meat it. Plus they would still be black. Black is OK but seeing as we will probably see these every day forever I am thinking some nice SS on the deck would be nice. So we will spend a little more and work a bit more on the holes for fitting but they will look nice forever on.
