Power Washer

When we first looked at the boat before we bought it the decks were dirty looking, I mean real dirty. We asked the broker about them and he said the owner would not let them power wash the decks or boat.

The broker had varnished the cap rail and some other outside teak and the owner was real mad about that. He did not want anything sanded or varnished.

He liked it all natural and was against power washing.

Next time we looked at the boat we brought a scrub brush and some boat soap and cleaned a small section of the deck to see if the grim would come off. It did and the non-skid was in great shape.

After we bought the boat and got it home we tried sever different methods of cleaning the boat but all failed when it came to the decks.

We bought a power washer and it came clean. We have since used it a couple times on the boat and it was definitely worth it. I am not a big fan of the PW and tend to stay back with it so as not to damage the fiber glass. But sometimes you just gotta go for it!

Like I said before the boat was not used much so everything is in good shape. The decks were not used much for the "Anchoring dance". That’s a new song I am learning how to play on the guitar and partially self-written!
