Shower grate varnishing four coats top - 2010

The shower grate is coming along. These pics show it with four coats on top and two on the bottom.

 I need to sand it some because the varnish is a bit uneven.

October 2010 - Currently At Marina Cortez Harbor Island, San Diego, CA

 I used up and down and then back and forth strokes with the brush but it still is coming out a but uneven. A good light sanding will help fix that.

 We are re-thinking the satin shine verses the gloss shine. Our teak and holly sole will be varnished gloss so we may decide after we have it installed to add a couple coats of gloss to this to change it from satin to gloss. It is after all the bath room floor and you do see it throughout the boat.
