You see a yellow Costco rag in the running light mount hole😁
We installed the new (2NM NaviLED Deck Mount Port and Starboard Pair)) running lights this weekend. They look good and fit well. They leave a gap at the front edge but not too much. We will fill the gap with black silicone or another product later.
The back side fits well and leave a tiny gap not worth filling. OK after looking at the pictures we may do a lille filling on the inside edge of the light😬. The gap I am talking about if from the light housing to the teak cap rail. The are the smallest LED running lights I could find and shaped that will fit our cap rail. They are also CG approved for sail boats to two miles. We needed only one mile😎
We drilled out the exposed screw holes for the previous running lights and put in teak plugs. It was my first time doing this so it came out so-so. A couple of them broke off or got smashed as I was tapping them in and I forgot to put the grain the same way but all in all after sanding they did the job ok. A little filling and a nice varnish job will hide the sins.
That's not a scratch on the starboard light just some trash.
