SEALAND. SaniGard™ Holding Tank Vent Filter re-built and working, fine! - 2011

The white tape is for measuring cuts.
Ok we rebuilt our old poop filter. Yep we did a re-build of our SEALAND. SaniGard™ Holding Tank Vent Filter. 5/8 hose size #309310002 holding tank vent filter.  We purchased the kit from eBay quite a while ago. "SaniGard SeaLand Dometic Vent Filter RECHARGE KIT for marine holding tanks"
. Then we went to Home Depot and picked up the parts that were in the kit and will go to the tropical fish store and get the activated charcoal soon for a backup filter and some extra charcoal for future re-builds. But for the first time we wanted the kit as it was an easy way to get started rebuilding these instead of purchasing a new one as they are expensive. We have two so one will be re-built and ready for deployment if the air gets bad đŸ˜¬:

Debbie marking it up cuts to be made in the SaniGard™ Holding Tank Vent Filter.
After cutting with a hacksaw and dumping out the charcoal (saved the foam) we glued on the ends.

Ready to add charcoal and then put the foam in and screw together. We did this and it has been working great ever since. Another job well done by the Willis team!.
 Note:
This system has worked for many years now. We have two filters now that we have rebuilt. Swapping one out for the other when needed, about every 3 months. It is sometimes a challenge to get activated charcoal so we just purchased a big bag that should last years! Paying it forward. - 2019
