Grill

Our grill and propane for the grill was set up for cruising the Sea of Cortez.

We have two 1.5 pond propane bottles that are connected to a regulator that will automatically switch to the next tank if the first one goes empty. It will then pop a red flag letting you know the tank is empty. In this way your cooking is not interrupted and we have plenty of propane.

We bought one tank new and it came with the old style valve. They are sometimes hard to get filled in the States. Also the new regulators will not work on the old inside thread (old style).

We bought two more tanks at the marine swap meet at SGYC and then I had new valves installed on them all and then got them inspected. So we have three tanks. We are not sure if we will keep all three or sell one. We use only two now.

We get them filled at a tool rental place where there is not a minimum charge as there is a lot of places.

There is a bit of weight on the stern rail but we will be getting it re-enforced because we want to put solar panels on top of the bimini anyway and dingy davits and wind generator.. They are fine for now.
Debbie made canvas covers for the grill and propane tanks.
