Canvas work-sewing

Marina Cortez in San Diego Harbor Island 6\15\2010

Our sewing system is a Sailrite Ultrafeed LSZ-1 Walking Foot Sewing Machine.
We have it setup in our apartment on a table we also got from Sailerite. Debbie is working on fixing it. It has worked pretty good although there are some issues with it.

Once you get one you seem to discover all these extra sewing projects to do. We have made many covers for our Catalina 30 and now our Islander Freeport. We made a complete cockpit enclosure for out Catalina plus many other projects including a bimini.

With the Islander Freeport we decide to farm out the dodger bimini project as we just do not have the tie and space to do it. Now that it is done we can repair it or replace it as we have a patter.

The machine can be run with or without electricity.

We have a lot of extras for it and have made a anchor sail out of an old jib, made up jack lines, bags ad mast boot and like I said may different covers etc.

Worth the money if you plan on having a sail boat long term. Most all the cost in making stuff is in the labor.
