SUP (Sevylor Samoa paddle board) air valve replacement

Beginning of June at Paradise Village Marine in Puerto Vallarta Mexico

Sevylor VB-V05-H3-1
The SUP (Samoa Sevylor) got pulled up out of the lazerett and Debbie and I wrestled with the air valve and finally got it out.

We looked and tried playing with the inner part but could not see a way of removing it without damaging the rubber around the sealing area.

We are now looking for a new O ring and will try re-sealing the valve.

While this is all a pain in the butt we did see a Starboard paddle board in the PV mall and it was about $19000 pesos  (or about $1600 US) so it is not so much a pain any more :)

  1. Sorry to hear of your problem. My project is to find the piece that screws on top of the valve to seal it from weather, water, and accidental deflation. Do you know where I can find this cover or the entire valve with cover? All I need is the cover. my email is doug2utoo@comcast.net - any help is appreciated. Tks

PS Don't understand what to input for profile so I chose anonymous to make it work

  2. Thanks for the comment! Depends on your location...check with your local surf shop that carry inflatable paddleboards or perhaps even on the internet. Know the size of the valve (even if it is in inches/cm) before checking. We ended up giving away this board as it was deteriorating from the heat/sun. We got a demo board from Starboard here in Bucerias, MX from Pacific Paddle. All the best!!
