Teak plugged into the old stern light

We got the first teak plug into the old stern light.

We got the old fixture out by pushing it into the lazerett.

Then we cleaned up the hole and found a plug we had that would fit the hole.

Put some wood glue on it and set it in place.

Placed the wood over the plug and tapped it into place.

The grain of the plug spun a bit on the way in but it is close.

Whipped up the glue and presto it’s done!

Some teak saw dust mixed with some Seatol will fill in the cracks around it nicely. A little sanding and a some coats of finsh and this old light should blend in nicely with the cap rail. At least for four holes one of them big and I am no shipwright.
